Har Ka Sewak So Har Jeha
God servitor and God are alike. Do not think that being in human form he differs from him. Just like the waves in sea emerge out of the sea. Sweep its shores , beautify it and enrich it with pearls and then surrender again to sea , His attendants are those revolutionary waves who adorn the suffering humanity with their austerities , provide it relief from agony
and become one with their master.
At the end of nineteenth century (1895) at the village Nikke Ghumman (Gurdaspur) in a respected landlord family a luminary of truth and devotion was born to the father S.Mehar Singh and mother Harnam Kaur .Parents named this child as Hazara Singh . No one knew that this lad would one day serve humanity. He studied at primary School , Ghumman Kalan . He learnt Urdu , but after passing 4th class , he set into agriculture and started assisting his father . It was then , he met Baba Hardit Singh , a deeply religious and devoted personality . He was Head Granthi of village Gurudwara and was very famous among people for his generous nature . Baba Hazara Singh lernt Gurubani from him . He started reciting Urdu versions of Jap Ji Sahib and Rehras Sahib.
At the age of twenty, he got married to Bibi Avtar Kaur (Guro) , daughter of S. Sunder Singh of village Pakiwan (near Kalanaur ) . Two sons were born to them S .Mohinder Singh and S.Joginder Singh .The vehement longing of spiritual communion made many him to meet many famous religious personalities . He got baptized from Sri Anandpur Sahib . Then he met Baba Malla Singh , affirm devotee of Guru . He used to reside in small cottage outside the village . His words were often quoted by Baba Ji ,Man is indeed an embodiment of God if he shams deceitful behavior.
On the other side of the village there was a small mud cottage . A magnificent seven storied Gurudwara and a holy sarowar is now there , constructed under the magnanimous direction of Sant Baba Basta Singh Ji and Sant Basant Singh Ji Aladinpur (Taran Taran Sahib ). At that time this place was surrounded by thorny shrubs . A simple wooden bed used to be there in the cottage with a jute made bedding and on the floor , handmade mats of hay by Maharaz himself were spread . People from and near used to visit this place as a pilgrimage.
Baba Ji used to get up at 12o clock at night . After having bath , he used to recite Jap Ji and Jaap Sahib . Some devotees with his permission fetched water from a nearby well earthen pots . Then milk , curd , patashass (sugercandy ) brought by devotees as offerings to Baba Ji were poured and Lassi Bata was prepared . After Ardass it was distributed to the Sangat . Baba Ji himself used to take this . It was Nectar , Which contained Divine powers . It had ability to the heal incurable diseases . It had blessings of Baba Ji s Simran (meditation ), & Tapasya (devotion ) . Gradually the dera become center of religious activites . The Sangat used to assemble and recitation of holy scriptures Sri Guru Granth Sahib , Mahabharat , Bhagwad Gita , Suraj Granth used to be continued throughout the whole day . In evening after Rehras and Ardaas people used to go home . There was no discussion except his Almighty.
Discussion regarding worldly affairs , political issues , character assassination fanaticism was totally prohibited here . Baba Ji never tried to preach a new religion or establish a new community . He preached name of Guru and appealed his followers to rely upon Guru Granth Sahib only. He said:
Jap Ji is Pure Milk
Jaap Sahib is churned butter
Sukhmani Sahib is an immortal anecdote

Numerous followers used to visit Dera to have a glimpse of their savior of their everyday . They brought precooked meal (Langar ) with themselves . The Langar was distributed to the Sangat . The remaining part of Langar was kept in earthen pots as per Baba Jis direction s. After 3-4 days Baba Ji used to eat that meal . He was free from any worldly pleasures. His abode of meditation was an unparalleled example of simplicity and humility. He used to say : What a Sadh (ascetic ) needs is his grace. As Guru Arjun Dev Wrote :

Jina Saas Giraas Na Visre Hari Nama Man Mant

BaBa ji Maharaj was against exploitation being made on the name religion. At that time the akhand path ceremony had become unaffordable for poor people being extremely expensive. BaBa ji Maharaj recommended only 40 Rs/-as Bheta (offering) for Akand path . he used to say that a single rupee for those 40 rupee will have bounty of hundred rupees.
The marriage ceremony had also become an expensive affair. Poor people really find it difficult to marry off their daughters. Girls are considered a burden in economically not so well families. BaBa ji with his far sightedness , made the marriage a simple ,easy and happy affair. Member of both families of boy and girl used to request BaBa ji and after the constant of both families ,BaBa ji made someone from marriage. Addressing newly married couple he used to say:

Guru Nanak is your judge I will be youe witness in his Dargaah
The baratis were served langar and lassi. This trend cut down all the unnecessary expenses of the marriage and this tradition continues till now. Many couple get the blessings of his holiness Sant BaBa Hazara Singh ji while getting united through sacred bond of marriage.
BaBa ji said that simple marriage is worth 7100 Ashawmedh yags. God wells where a wife is devoted to her husband . He emphasized that Sikhs should greet each other by saying popular slogan of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji:

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Wahe guru ji ki fateh

BaBa ji said The name of Guru comes twice in slogan.
BaBa JI had full faith in the power of Name BaBa ji emphasized again that Name is only medium to attain spiritual communion with Almighty. The end purpose of every religion is making the man realize the presence of his Almighty In his soul. God is Omni powerful .Only His name true Guru NaNak Dev has said:

Jeta keeta teta nao
Vin Naaven Nahi ko Thaon
Only his name is worth remembrance .All other thing are subject to perish. But His Naam is forever. It is a boon to suffering humanity, first step to spiritual realization , treasures of all blessings and chief aim of human life. Communal fanaticism found no place in baba jis teachings. He believed that a truly religious person is that who strives to be good and better with every new day. Once a follower asked BaBa ji ,Grant me Naam. BaBa ji smiled and said, Truth, Truth and Truth leads to His Naam . Naam is Truth and is Naam.
BaBa ji executed the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in his deeds and teachings. He was an apostle of sewa(service), Sach(Truth), Saadgi(Simplicity), Nimarta(Humbleness), Gareebi(Modesty), Madhurta(Mellifluousness). BaBa ji wanted his followers to be humble, modest and devoted. This is the only medium of self-attainment, that means to realize the divine perfection already existing inside the human soul. BaBa ji used to say I m sentinel of his abode. If he accepts me like this. I would feel lucky.
Love for lord and a unique devotion often made him to say:
Dhan BaBa NaNak,Dhan BaBa NaNak
Dhan Babe NaNak De Sikh
Dhan BaBe NaNak Di Skhi

Great is Guru Nanak, Great are his Great is his Sikhi.
The apostle of truth and simplicity left this mortal world on 15th October,1988 at Muni Lal Chopra trust hospital, Amritsar after a short illness.15 day prior to his demise BaBa ji said ,Ripe time has come. No need to preserve this perishable body. Cremate it At last the day arrived and BaBa ji left his fowlers amidst the grief. Followers in millions steamed towards Nikke-Ghumman to have a last glimpse of their loved Guru.The atmosphere echoed with the slogan:
Braham Giani Sab Srishat Ka Karta II Braham Giani Sad Jeeve Nahi Martaii
Though BaBa ji is not physically present among us, yet he is and will continue to bless us.Gurudwara Tap Asthan Sahib, Gurudwara Angeetha Sahib and Gurudwara Bohri Sahib will continue to guide his devotees forever.
BaBa ji was not fanatic. He was an embodiment of divine perfection.
He was not a body. He is and He will be for ever.
Symbolizing truth, service and simplicity e someone a ascetic, a mendicant, a recluse, a truth saint, a Braham Giyani(Possessor of Braham Giyani-The ultimate knowledge)and to someone he appeared a visible carnation of His almighty.
