Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa

Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa é uma plataforma de pesquisa, experimentação e estudos no âmbito das artes contemporâneas. Instituição independente e sem fins lucrativos, apresenta-se como uma estrutura multidisciplinar e plural para as artes visuais, com o objectivo de proporcionar uma rede de troca de informações entre criadores, teóricos, estudantes, produtores e público.

Esteve sediado na Rua de O Século 79, no antigo Palácio Pombal – prédio pertencente a EGEAC/CM até 2017. Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa é parcialmente financiado pela DGartes / Ministério da Cultura. Por ser um organismo sem fins lucrativo, conta também com uma rede de colaboradores e apoios de entidades culturais.

A programação está vocacionada para residências de artistas nacionais e estrangeiros que realizam exposições site specifics e master classes, para além de uma série de actividades paralelas como conferências, conversas com os artistas e visitas guiadas.

Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa (Art and Research) is an experimental platform within the scope of contemporary art. As an independent not-for-profit organization, Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa presents a multidisciplinary and plural framework for visual arts with the objective of offering a network of informative exchanges between creators, theoreticians, student, producers and the public.

Established on Rua d’O Século, 79 in the old Pombal Palace belonging to EGEAC / Lisbon Municipality, unitl 2017. Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa is partially supported by DGartes / Ministry of Culture. As a not-for-profit institution, it also receives the support of a network of collaborators and cultural foundations.

The programming is designed by artists-in-residence from Portugal and abroad that carry out site specific exhibitions and master classes, in addition to a series of parallel activities such as conferences, talks with the artists and guided visits.
