Cooperativa Agrícola Beira Serra, C.R.L.

Founded in 1956, the Agricultural Cooperative Beira Serra, C.R.L., currently with 1200 members, has a total area of approximately 8100 square miles (2100 hectares) with an average production of 10 000 000 kg.
Equipped with one of the largest fermentation vats in the region of Beira Interior (with a capacity of 1 800 000 litres) it can process about 400 tons of grapes per day.
As part of the demarcated region of Beira Interior, it covers the municipalities of Trancoso, Celorico da Beira, Guarda, Pinhel and Meda.
The vineyards are located at an average altitude, ranging from 400 metres to 600 metres. They are planted in a specific soil composed mostly of granite and schist, up to 90% and 10% respectively, thereby giving rise to wines with well-defined characteristics.


A Cooperativa Agrícola Beira Serra, C.R.L. fundada em 1956, tem actualmente 1200 associados e detém uma área total aproximada de 2100 hectares com uma produção média de 10 000 000 kg.

Equipada com uma das melhores baterias de fermentação da Região da Beira Interior (com 1 800 000 litros de capacidade) permite-lhe receber diariamente cerca de 400 toneladas de uvas.

Fazendo parte da Região demarcada da Beira Interior, abrange os concelhos de Trancoso, Celorico da Beira, Guarda, Pinhel e Mêda.

As vinhas localizam-se a uma altitude média entre 400 e 600 m em terrenos predominantemente graníticos e xistosos 90% e 10% respectivamente, dando assim origem a vinhos com características bem definidas.
