INTRODUCTION
Dar ul Sukun is one of the esteemed and leading organizations of Pakistan which is been serving the vulnerable, defenseless, socially, mentally and physically challenged people for 47 years now. Dar ul Sukun was established in the year 1969 in Karachi initiating by lending a helpful hand for Senior Citizens, Polio Effected Girls, Socially Displaced Girls and Boys, helping Poor Families for their Medicines, Food and Shelter and for the Children’s Education. Over these years Dar ul Sukun have grown magnificently and by flourishing its work not just in Karachi but other marginalized areas such as Quetta and Punjab.
In Quetta Dar ul Sukun was established in the year 2007 and started working for socially displaced boys by providing them healthy environment, shelter, food, and basic education. Dar ul Sukun not only focuses on basic education of boys but also give high consideration to their well-being, communication and interpersonal skills development. In Quetta branch under the umbrella of Dar ul Sukun WE “Women Empowerment “Stitching and Embroidery Centre and I-Learn Girls Free Tuition Centre were pioneered. WE primarily concentrate on Women Technical and Vocational Skills Development, as in this new era women need to be empowered and walk side by side with their partners and other family members. I-Learn Girls Free Tuition Centre provide marginalized and needy girls with education for free of cost so that they can learn and do something better with their future. Dar ul Sukun Quetta’s different operations to the date are being funded through the help of Dar ul Sukun head office, individual donations, Zakat contributions, charities etc.
