Dominio Vale do Mondego

Dominio Vale do Mondego focuses on Rural Art Residences & Creative Spaces, Outdoor festival and landart: an innovative and inspiring project by Associação Domínio Vale do Mondego in the Nature Park Serra da Estrela in Portugal. The Associação Domínio Vale do Mondego has as its objective initiation, organisation, development & execution of activities and projects in the area of Art & Culture, Biodynamic agriculture, Education & training, antroposophy and philosophy, Nature & Ecology, in the Mondego Valley, in general, and specifically at Domínio Vale do Mondego, for an international audience, organised by a diversity of artists and groups. Summerschool, Masterclasses form an integral part of the program.
The Association DvdM proposes the Mondego Art Valley project, an initiative that includes the following objectives, to be
executed in cooperation wth The FAIA Collective Cooperation:
➡ intensification of the Art & Nature program (summerschool, workshops, internships, courses)
➡ internationalisation of target group of creative, cultural and scientific tourists
➡ extension of the annual summer festival programme ESTIVAL throughout the valley of the Alto Mondego (and possibly the
Serra da Estrela)
➡ improvement of accommodation and working spaces for artists-in-residence
➡ offering of truly year round facilities
➡ regular involvement of professional artists
➡ extending the network-capacity
➡ inclusion of local community (arts & crafts, exchange of students, social activities, work)
