Description
History
A village with more than 150 years of history. Started as a settlement on the northern bank of a canal for peasants of Raja Harbans Singh. The village was surrounded by lush green farms and large fruit orchards. The farms and orchards have been turned into slums and semi-planned extenstions of the original Harbanspura village. The last orchard vanished in 1975.
There used to be an annual URS and fare during the rainy season with a notable activity of Kabaddi match between local team and another team from an adjoining village. With the disappearance of farms, the URS is no longer celebrated.
