Innovine & Wine Research & Development

The Platform of Innovation of the Vine and Wine is a multidisciplinary project which involves investigators with experience in several areas, such as soil science, climatology, ecology, viticulture, physiology, microbiology, oenology, engineering, economics and management.

The Platform clearly prioritizes the capacity of knowledge transfer to the wine sector. The strong points of the investigation run by UTAD and the competences of innovation are based on the opportunity to establish fruitful and long term relationships with the organizations which have high worldwide performance of R&D, as well as similar investigation interests.

UTAD has been investing significantly in agriculture, thus creating an enviable and specialized know-how in this area, thereby having a decisive contribution for the wine industry ‘s development and to the sustainability of the agrifood chains.
