[PT+ENG] A Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo está integrada na Região Demarcada do Douro desde a sua fundação, em 1756. Integra atualmente 120 hectares de vinhas, 85 dos quais classificados com Graduação A, que identifica as castas e práticas de maior qualidade no setor.
Ao longo dos tempos, todo o património histórico da quinta vem sendo cuidadosamente preservado, pelo que a sua casa senhorial oitocentista acolhe hoje o nosso hotel vínico, mesmo ao lado de uma capela de estilo barroco datada de 1795. Entre pomares e uma azenha, mantemos ainda a adega de 1764 e, junto às águas, um outro tempo religioso do século XVII, símbolo da proteção a pescadores e navegantes, numa perigosa zona do rio onde os tripulantes dos barcos rabelos eram frequentemente vítimas de naufrágio.
Renovamos as tradições, é certo. Mas respeitaremos sempre a autenticidade da paisagem e a identidade das nossas origens.

Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is included in the Douro Demarcated Region – the oldest AOC [Apellation d'Origine Controllée] in the world – since its foundation in 1756. It now covers 120 hectares of vineyards and 85 of those are classified with Graduation A, which in Portugal identifies the best grape varieties and plantation procedures.
Over the time, all the historical patrimony of the farm has been carefully preserved and that's why its Nineteenth's Century house now hosts our wine hotel, right by a baroque style chapel dated from 1795. Among orchards and a watermill, we still maintain our cellar from 1764 and, closer to the waters, another religious temple from the Seventeenth Century, symbol of protection to fishermen and navigators, in a dangerous river section where the rabelo boats' sailors would seldom be victims of shipwreck.
We renew our traditions, that is true. But we shall always respect the authenticity of our landscape and the identity of our origins.
