Headquartered in Hyderabad, the company's commercial activity includes the publishing of its own books in Sindhi, as well as in English, and Urdu, and the distribution of books to local publishers.

Founded in 1980, Roshni Publication began publishing in 1981 with three titles. Today, the company publishes more than 50 new titles every year and has an active back list of over 800 titles.

Known for its strong fiction and narrative non-fiction list, Roshni Publication has published across virtually every segment, including short-stories, travelogues ,History, Philosophy, biography, politics, history, education, science and religion.
