Sikh Virsa Council

Sikh Virsa Council (SVC) is a non-profit organization, which is based on the principle of "MIRI-PIRI", a Sikh principle which has temporal and spiritual goals. Sikh Virsa Council was founded on 6 June, 2010 from the inspiration of puratan Gursikhs and Maha Purakhs who have sacrificed their life for the Sikh Panth. Sikh History, Rich Sikh Heritage and Sikh Saints Principles are always inspiring to us and motivate to us to serve the whole humanity selflessly and as Gurbani quote "SAB KO MEET HUM AAPAN, KINA HUM SABHNA KE SAJAN". The main work areas of Sikh Virsa Council are as follows:- Promote sikh religion, philosophy and sikh way of life - working within the sikh community and with local and other sikh working organizations. Our main focus is to Promote Sikh Martial Art Gatka and Educational & Co-curricular activities as well as relevant cultural issues directly associated with the Sikh way of life.Campaign for human rights issues impacting on Sikhs in India and abroad with human rights groups and non-governmental organizations and politicians.Propagating awareness and strengthening faith in fundamental human rights and the dignity as a human being.Cooperating with national and International organizations in maintaining the rule of law, establishing peace and security, and promoting the basic Sikh tenet of "SARBAT DA BHALA".
