Solar dos Marcos Alojamento Rural de Excelência

Solar dos Marcos Accommodation Rural Excellence is an historic palace that has been reconstructed from an old episcopal residence (18th century), located in the village of Bemposta, where D. Manuel Martins Manso, Bishop of Guarda, was born in and lived in. The Bishop Martins-Manso will have added the chapel to the original building, in honour of the Holy Mary, in the second half of 18th century.

Solar dos Marcos (inn) with 8 double rooms (1 room adapted for handicapped persons), 1 suite, places, a private covered garage for 13 cars, a private chapel and garden with a swimming pool.

The building has been also classified as Excellent Architectural Value by the Portuguese General Directorate of Tourism.
