The Farm

Feel good about drinking milk! We want you to know your farmer, so you know your food. By buying milk and meat straight from the farmer, without middle hands, you are becoming part of our goal to create a more transparent and sustainable food system. We are a small farm in northeastern São Miguel. We believe that food is best for us when produced in a good way, eaten fresh, and without extensive processing.

Here's what we offer to help get you closely connected to your food:

1. FARM TOURS - Visiting the Azores islands? Stop by and milk our cows, pet our calves, take a ride on the back of our truck, and taste our raw milk and fresh cheese.

2. PASTURE-FED BEEF - Local and delicious meat, straight to your doorstep through cow shares!

What is a cow share?
- A way to share the meat from our cows with other consumers and to get fresh, “cheap” meat.

- A share includes cuts from across the cow. Order an individual share for yourself or organize a group purchase (known as Cowpooling) with your friends to share the bounty from a cow and save money.

One share can consist of:
* 1/8th (≈20 kg)
*1/4th (≈40 kg)
* ½ (≈80 kg)
* 1 whole animal (≈160 kg)
