Agroaguiar is the result of the investment in one of the most complete and functional infrastructures of the fruit market, aiming the wholesale and processing. Active since 2007, has grown steadily under a philosophy of innovation, quality and food safety.

Agroaguiar works in many areas: production, trading, processing and distribution of dried and red fruits, processed and gourmet products.

In 2014, IAPMEI renovated Agroaguiar SME Leader distinction – recognizing economic and financial performance and growth strategy sustainability. Furthermore, for the current year, it renewed the ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certifications, being nowadays the single Portuguese company of the chestnut core business that owns these quality standards. On 2015 AgroAguiar open a brand new unit for increase the capacity of processing, transforming and stocking the deep frozen products.

The business area of AgroAguiar relates to the marketing of nuts (chestnuts, walnuts, and almonds), berries (cherry, strawberry, raspberry), figs and processed products ( frozen peeled chestnuts, frozen roasted chestnuts, deep frozen strawberry, deep frozen raspberry, deep frozen blackberry, deep frozen blueberry, deep frozen figs and deep frozen pumpkin).

The export is above 80% of the turnover of AgroAguiar. The final destination of our products goes to Italy, Brazil, France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Luxemburg, Spain, Belgium, USA, Angola and Canada. These are customers with very high demand regarding the quality of the exported products.

The company´s customers are mainly retailers and industries. The requirements levels are high, and only companies with capable infrastructures, human capital, management integrated systems and quality can respond.
