Amarelo 28, nasce como projecto de divulgação e comercialização de arte e artesanato contemporâneo e está instalado em ALFAMA, o bairro típico mais antigo de Lisboa, bem enraizado no seio da sua população nativa e integrado na estrutura comercial, cultural e turística local, onde impera o “Fado”, (classificado pela UNESCO como Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade desde 2011).
A beleza natural da cidade, aliada ao seu clima temperado, associados a um conjunto recente de vários factores conjunturais nomeadamente, a grande facilidade de acesso por meio aéreo; o crescimento do turismo de cruzeiros; os congressos internacionais; o fluxo internacional de estudantes (ex.erasmus); a excelência dos alojamentos turísticos (para todas as bolsas) tornam a cidade e os seus bairros mais típicos apetecíveis para descoberta pelos turistas nacionais e estrangeiros que nos visitam e que colocam Lisboa na Moda durante todo o ano.
Amarelo 28 pretende acompanhar esta tendência e acrescentar valor ao trabalho de uma nova geração de artistas e artesãos que inovam diáriamente com a sua criatividade e com as suas mãos, respeitando as referências da tradição artística de Portugal (em geral) e de Lisboa (em particular).

Amarelo 28® (Yellow 28), was born as dissemination and marketing project of contemporary art and craft. Amarelo 28® is setup in ALFAMA, the oldest and most typical Lisbon quarter, well rooted at the very heart of its native population and fully integrated within the local commercial, cultural and touristic structure where ‘Fado’ rules (‘Fado’ is classified by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2011).
The city's natural beauty and temperate climate, coupled with a number of recent economic factors which include the quick and easy access to a wide range of flying destinations, the growth of sea cruise tourism, the ability to host international conferences, the influx of international students (e.g. Erasmus); the extraordinary offer of tourist accommodations (for all walks of life) make the city and its most typical neighbourhoods desirable spots to be discovered by both domestic and foreign tourists who visit us and maintain Lisbon as a fashionable destination throughout the year.
Amarelo 28® intends to follow this trend and add value to the work of a new generation of artists and artisans who innovate on a daily basis with their creativity and with their hands, in full respect for their national (Portugal) and local (Lisbon) traditional artistic references.
