Bosque Verde

We are creating an Earth-Spirit sanctuary on 130 acres (50+ hectares) of ecological and forest land. Our vision is to assist all who connect with us to take responsibility for leading the life they desire, living to their full potential and shining their light for all to see.

We are achieving our vision through the events and experiences offered amongst the trees, river and rocks of our sanctuary in Portugal and working in co-operation with other centres around the world. The experience of our visitors having the ripple effect of encouraging many others to join our community.

So, we invite all who seek to be the change they desire to allow us and our sanctuary to assist in creating their change. To be inspired and surprised by what they discover in this tranquil valley.

Our objectives are to:
• Work closely with the spirit of the land to integrate the means for people to stay, learn and experience a different rhythm of life. To commune with nature through attending one of our events; staying on the land as a visitor or volunteer; or, just walking on the land itself.

• Create an experience for all who visit, whether from the local area, cities across Portugal or around the globe. Offering individuals and groups alike the opportunity to discover the joy of living in harmony with nature amongst its trees and wildlife, to discover their own inner voice and acknowledge they alone are responsible for their life.

• Ensure all who visit gain such a beneficial experience they in turn encourage others to become part of our broader community.

This will be achieved by:

• Ensuring all our activities are guided by the overarching themes of self-awareness, self-responsibility and conscious awareness.
• Having at our heart the Rainbow Centre. The Centre providing flexible workshop and conference facilities with comfortable accommodation for visitors in peaceful locations blended into the landscape. Supported by the other places to learn and experience situated about the site, as well as the site itself.
• Supporting local biodiversity while integrating natural building methods, re-forestation, sustainable agriculture and artistic expression to create a vibrant landscape. Enabling all to view the principles of permaculture applied in a conscious manner, whether they join us for one day or much longer.

Our current focus is on the supporting infrastructure. Two geodesic domes have been created to host events and provide chill out space until the communal area with its double reciprocal roof is complete. This is being created using trees from the site – progress can be viewed on this page. An outside kitchen is next so visitors can socialize and enjoy living closely with Mother Earth. Then we will start creating sacred space for retreats.

During 2017 work will begin on building a mix of under and over ground chalets to provide an experience as well as comfortable accommodation. In the summer there are natural swimming pools to enlarge as well as riverbanks to secure.
