Conhecida como Casa da Cerca foi outrora a
Casa dos Machados que pertenceu ao
morgado de Chãos, tendo permanecido na
família durante oito gerações. Foi herdada por
José Trigueiros de Aragão Osório Martel que
foi Presidente da Câmara Municipal do Fundão
e Provedor da Santa Casa da Misericórdia.
Atualmente transformada em turismo de
charme, a Cerca Design House é o resultado
do sonho de criar um refúgio elegante e
contemporâneo onde pode relaxar no
aconchego das Serras da Estrela e da
Gardunha.
Localizada no concelho do Fundão a 15km da
Serra da Estrela, a Cerca Design House é a
harmoniosa fusão entre a remodelação de um
solar do séc. XVII e um design contemporâneo
e exclusivo. A sobriedade da pedra que
remete para a época dos morgados contrasta
com o suave toque do burel e com as cores
vibrantes de uma decoração pensada para o
bem-estar do corpo e da mente.

Known as Cerca House belonged once to the Machados family, owner of the majorat of Chãos. The Cerca House remained with this family for eight generations. It was inherited by José Trigueiros de Aragão Osório Martel who was also the Mayor of Fundão and responsible for the Holy House of Mercy of Fundão.
Today we offer and iconic design hotel. Cerca Design House is the result of the dream of creating an elegant and contemporary retreat where one can relax in the comfort of the valley between Serra da Estrela and Serra da Gardunha.

Located in the municipality of Fundão, at 15 km from Serra da Estrela, the house is the result of a harmonious fusion between the remodeling of a XVII century manor-house and a contemporary and unique design. The sobriety of the stone, which refers to the time of majorats, contrasts with the soft touch of the typical burel woollen cloth (typical in the region) and the vibrant colors of a decoration thought for the body and mind relaxation.
