EKA dance company

EKA [ dance company ] is a low cost company, with a casual and all-embrassing approach. Its method is around dance-theatre, with a prominent presence of visual arts, and specially in fusion dance. It is based in EKA [ palace ], in Lisbon, which has several international connections. One of its main objectives is receiving and sending artists to different parts of the world. The activities start at EKA [ palace ], but the expansion through tours, residencies, cultural exchanges and scholarships are on our plans. This company intends to support dancers in its studies, also developing social work for children and young people helping them to build their life path. The company works together with the other EKA departments creating scenarios, outfits, sound track, etc. The repertoire is initially around Indian Classical Dance, Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop and Ballet, integrating every style brought by other dancers who join us.
