OUR HISTORY

A long time ago, July 1st 1967, the sun rose to write history in the book of Academic exploits. A valiant son of the nation plucked up courage to make his share in serving education. He sowed the seed of true learning with pure intention and firm determination. That learning shelter went on to be known as "METROPOLITAN ACADEMY" and the gardener none other than Mr. Muhammad Rizwan (Chairman Metropolitan Group of Schools). It was Federal 'B' Area, Block '13' where the journey started but as time passed on Metropolitan Academy began to win praise all around the city. Since 1967, thousands of students have been educated and at present a huge number of students are studying at the different campuses of the Metropolitan Group of Schools!



The fast catching up strength of the students had been enforcing the Chairman to think of inaugurating another branch to accommodate a huge strength of students under one roof. He, therefore, introduced another branch of Metropolitan Academy at Incholi in 1974. Just in a little time this new chapter began to make headway by leaps and bounds. Today no one is unaware about the colossal Metropolitan Academy Incholi campus!

Serving the nation from generation to generation is the proudest possession of the Metropolitan Group of Schools. Henceforth, in the light of all the experience, Mr. Muhammad Rizwan stepped up to introduce a young branch to pit its wits against the challenges of the new millennium. In March 1999, "Metropolitan School" was inaugurated in Federal B Area Block ‘18’ (Gulberg). Today a big strength of students is studying here speaking volumes of their aptitude!



One candle lit the other and so the light kept spreading far and wide. In March 2001, another flower bloomed on the tree of the Metropolitan Group of Schools. Laying a strong foundation, the Chairman named it "Metropolitan Foundation School". It was inaugurated in Federal B Area Block '7'. Today this Chapter is also engrossed in educating students for a brighter future!



The tireless Chairman wanted to make every effort count that he had attained in the long run. Now he intended that the Metropolitan extends its circle outside Federal B Area, as well and so the newly populated Gulistan-e-Jauhar Area was chosen for the new campus. Here, the facade of the staggering building was good enough to stun the eyes. This was March 2002. A swarm of people rushed in choosing "The Metropolitan Academy" for the better education of their children.



This was the story of the legendary Metropolitan Group of Schools. One hand with the lamp joined another, and so the land lit up with the true light of learning! Hats off to Mr. Muhammad Rizwan that today Metropolitan is standing where it deserves to. May his soul rest in peace, May the tree keep producing its fruit.

METROPOLITAN AFTER SIR MUHAMMAD RIZWAN

8th January 2008, the shining sun set in the valleys of Paradise, however, the sunshine was still as bright as the sunrise. Like father like children – the great pedagogic Sir Muhammad Rizwan had already grown up his able and submissive heir named, Muhammad Arsalan Rizwan who rightly fits into his father’s footsteps. Hence forth the harness of Metropolitan Academy is still in agile and ambitious hands. This meant that the graph of Metropolitan Academy is still looking at a meteoric rise.

Now “Metropolitan Academy” has extended its circle to North Nazimabad. Here, Metropolitan Academy attained a convivial welcome. On the other ends, “The Metropolitan Academy” extended its services to Gulshan e Iqbal. Besides, “Metropolitan School” initiated steps in North Karachi and Gulshan-e-Maymar.

To this date, the attempt of “Spreading education in various areas of The City”, has proved fruitful and promising high hopes for future. Since the clock is always ticking, so as the Metropolitan G.O.S’s acuity to grow further and further…….
