Monte das Oliveiras is a true oasis of tranquility in the heart of beautiful Alentejo, Portugal's famous wine district. This eighteenth-century "monte" (a typical Alentejo farming estate) was recently restored to its original state, with respect for traditional building techniques. The ‘mosaicos’ (authentic Portuguese cement tiles) in the house are hand-made by local producer ArteVida and give the house a warm and cozy feeling.

In addition to the main house, the estate has 4 additional rustic cottages with modern interior, beautiful swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis court and a pool house all located around a beautiful garden, and is thus easily transformed into a high-end boutique hotel.

The 1.35 ha estate is surrounded by extensive vineyards, an ancient olive grove, cork & eucalyptus woods and grazing lands for the local sheep herd. The Monte is also located at the foothills of the marvelous Serra d’Ossa and is close to the idyllic town of Estremoz famous for its beautiful royal castle and Saturday’s market.
