In Portugal we take our food extremely seriously and proud ourselves in seasonal ingredients which bring to the table the freshest vegetables, exceptional fish from the Atlantic Ocean, local breeds of pork and beef that make exquisite cured meats, sausages and hams. Our walks take you beyond the usual tourist neighbourhoods of Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto to experience the stories of genuine Portuguese food through meeting local people, tasting delicacies in small neighbourhood restaurants, shops, cafés and bars.
The walks are designed to introduce you to traditional savoury fish, meat dishes and snacks, pastries and sweets, cheeses, charcuterie and the wonderful world of Portuguese wines.
