Situated in the heart of the Estrela district, the Lisbon Players’ Theatre is a welcoming theatre space which has been providing a varied repertoire of plays in English to Lisbon audiences since 1947.
The building which has been its home since the beginning stands on land originally donated by D. Maria I in the 18th century for the benefit of foreign communities resident in the city.
The Lisbon Players has been officially recognized by the Lisbon City Council as an institution of significant cultural interest.
