The RIVER HOUSE

As a holiday home or full time occupancy. Inland by 30 minutes from the Costa de La Luz , nestled in the countryside but 10 minutes from typically Spanish villages that offer a host of facilities and an international boating community.
The use of your own pontoon gives you the ease to access your private boat mooring and or, travel by boat (or kayak) to the local towns of San Lucar de Guadiana, Alcoutim and numerous other riverside villages…
Both villages offer food stores, hardware suppliers, restaurants, bars , tourist centres, castles , churches and river beaches. There is plenty of year round festivals, regattas, cultural and historical events. The main riverside towns are both a haven for winter moorings.
Faro is the closest airport and is one hour away and the beautiful city of Seville is 1.5 hours away . On the coast there are many leisure and boating opportunities on the nearby Algarve Ria Formosa and Spain's El Rompido.
The River house is an easy to maintain, stylish 4 bedroom house with solar power, own water supply (low cost to run as no electricity or water bills). There are 2 wood burning fires, a large 5 ring gas oven, American fridge/freezer,3 en suite bathrooms. The garden is full of mature fruit (orange,lemon,apricot,pomegranate and figs)and palm trees with built shaded areas , (there is is adequate space available should you wish to grow a vegetable plot) a pool and views over the 200m wide river to Portugal .
